Home Remedies for Acne and Pimples

Acne is a common skin problem that affects people of all ages. Teenagers suffer the most from acne because of the increased hormone levels in their body.

There are many simple and easy natural cures using common ingredients found in your pantry and refrigerator to prevent or minimize the problem.

8 ways to treat your acne:

1- Honey

Honey antibiotic properties can help improve acne. Apply a teaspoon of honey to affected areas, or make a mask by mixing 1/2 cup of honey with 1 cup of plain oatmeal and leaving it on for 30 minutes.

2- Fuller’s Earth

Fuller’s earth also known as Multani mitti is good for the Oily and acne-prone skin because it absorbs excess oil without making your skin dry and unclogs the pores.
3- Orange peel paste
Orange peel paste is full of Vitamin C and Citric Acid. The vitamin C is particularly helpful because it promotes the growth of new healthy cells, keeping your skin in better condition overall.

4- Oatmeal

Oatmeal is beneficial in reducing acne because it cleanses your skin pores and absorbs excess oil. Plus, it exfoliates your skin.

5- Lemon

Lemons act as an exfoliant, skin lightener, and disinfectant to reduce the appearance of scars and prevent pimples. Dab acne with a cotton ball or cotton swab dipped in lemon juice, then rinse with cool water.

6- Tea Tree Oil

With its natural infection,  It’s effective against acne. Tea tree oil dry your skin and make the acne worse. Mix a few drops of tea tree oil with between 20 and 40 drops of witch hazel, then use a cotton swab to apply. Try this cure twice a day.

7- Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel can be used to fight acne. Not only is the aloe soothing, it works as an anti-inflammatory, decreasing redness and swelling. It also has antibacterial properties.

8- Green Tea

Green tea has antioxidant compounds that can help fight acne. To get its effects, use a cooled cup of green tea as a face wash or lay the bag over the affected area.
